Hello! A smaller, more casual update today. I'm working on Chapter 6 (so much for having a break I guess...!) and thought I'd put together a very small collage of some process shots. In order: some outfit concepts; a sketch from the page I'm working on now (this is generally what the quality looks like before I start inking...); a small shot of Numair from a finished page; a Sketchup model I made of Numair's room (I do this with a lot of complex recurring locations to help block the scene out); the same room with a layer of inks on it; and two examples of what the story looks like at the very very beginning, when I do scripting and thumbnails at the same time. (The yellow parts are post-it notes; if I mess up or want to change something, I just stick a post-it on and draw it again.)

To go with this, I have done some writing about writing in Chapter 5! In this I talk about why I wrote things the way I did in Chapter 5, some of the over-arching themes, etc etc. Might be an interesting read if you like that kind of thing!

Next week, there will be some guest art. Chapter 6 will likely start on Christmas (Sunday 12/25) so...there's your gift from me to you! See y'all.
