"--All right, so we've covered the basic structure of the plan," the lion said. A small crowd in many shapes had gathered in the dimly lit room to listen. Next to the lion stood an easel with a set of large posters on it; the spirit with the sideburns was swapping out the one in front, which featured a roughly labeled diagram of the Assembly with the transmitter, the antenna wheeling above a statue, and several radios, for the one behind it. "Now, for where the rest of us come in.

"We've got a team picked out to put the antenna in the air," he continued. Milou, standing in the little crowd, smiled cheerily at a tall grey harpy that stood next to them. "And..." the lion exchanged a look with the spirit with the sideburns, who merely raised their eyebrows, "...contacts in the Assembly who will set up the transmitter. But--"

The next poster featured a diagram of the inside of a radio, with bits of it labeled in tight Aetherian script. "We need all these radios spelled to work with the antenna! If you worked on our cell phone project, consider signing up for this project! We want to convert as many radios as possible--and we want them to be loud."

At a long table, several people sat working on the insides of radios, some wearing goggles and looking directly through the bright flares of light of their own magic as they worked. At the end of the table, the bird-like black creature--half invisible in the glare of someone else's magic--directed one of the people seated at the table to put the radio cords back in the bin. One of the workers, a spirit with lines under their eyes and a large wedge-shaped nose, considered the directions thoughtfully and mused, < Hmm...this spellwork is very strangely structured. I thought the Cynn was classically trained? >

The next poster was printed with a map of the city, with its streets and canals laid out in intricate circular bands. "We also need a group to plot out and place all the radios! They should be in public places, where all kinds of people can gather to listen."

Luu and Vlad and a small crowd of others--mostly in various animal shapes--stood clustered around a map pinned to a wall, placing pins here and there. A large jackalope murmured about hoping the weather would be good to the huge white dragon-like creature, who responded that it was still summer, and it wouldn't start raining until the afternoon. Vlad suggested one of the radios ought to go at the clinic, and a coyote piped up, asking whether it would be possible to rent a stall at the Escala Plaza Market for this.
